The knights who say NI

With currently happening corporate GenAI frenzy, search engines have diminished in value for queries which are any bit beyond the general or mainstream content.
I tried today looking up some tech topic - I got a bunch of links with generated irrelevant bullshit preceding self-advertisement of the page owning startup.

Now, looks like we have to rely on the old way of mouth-to-ear recommendations to note down authors of useful, insightful or delightful content.

So I am going to have a page with links to brain-crafted content I went across and liked.

P.S. You've probably got it, but for just in case - NI in the title of this post stands for NAtural Intelligence.

Always be bold

The sermon in one TV-show was about faith. A catchy statement was about true faith staying strong and never fades in difficult times or times of trial and ordeal.

That's relevant to the faith on yourself as well. When you are down, the faith in yourself is something you need, and something you tend to loose, but remember - you had it, now you stick to it, because that is the faith - sticking to it no matter what.

A cognitive bias is an amusing thing to observe - when struggling with the problem for a while, having the documentation in front of your eyes, with the simple explanation given in plain English - you suddenly get it and see that all the complexity was just your own overthinking induction. Not quite an aha-moment you would look for, but still there is fun in it.

Impatience

A great temptation to get the Mac, because it resonates like it "just works". But it is not true first of all, and this approach encourages sloppy mind.

Maybe the thing about sloppy mind should go as "first of all". You want some new tech toy, but you don't want to make an effort to find the best one for you.

What's the fun then? Unless you trying to find something to get the job done right now - take a time, do the effort. Practice some patience and thoroughness.

If you see "install IDE 'fancyshit'" as a prerequisite to any coding tutorial, most likely this is a shitty coding tutorial. Vim, gedit, notepad - any of this is sufficient to write the code. IDE has very little to so with coding per se but in tutorials derails understanding of essential concepts. I do not want automated project structure creation, automated imports, fucking tips. I want to learn why the structure is like that, where that method comes from, what are the dependencies.
